AIOU gets botanical garden
It comprises a greenhouse named as Gulzar House

A botanical garden was formally inaugurated at AIOU main campus for promoting research in horticulture sector. VC Dr Shahid Siddiqui, at its inauguration ceremony, the botanical garden, to work as open lab will have documented collections of living plants for the purposes of scientific research, conservation, display and education. It comprises a greenhouse as well that has been named as Gulzar House, dedicated to varsity’s gardener Gulzar Ahmed who lost his life in a honey-bee attack in May this year.
Dr Siddiqui termed the garden as value-added addition of the prevailing research facilities in the University.
