Gas pressure drops in Pindi areas
The people are facing problem of low gas pressure making heating and cooking impossible
RAWALPINDI:
With the advent of winter, the pressure of natural gas in supply lines has dropped directly in proportion to the plunge in mercury. The people living in Rawalpindi cantonment and city areas were facing problem of low gas pressure making heating and cooking impossible. There were long queues of people at tandoors to buy naans because it was impossible to make bread at homes. People said Sui Northern Gas Private Limited (SNGPL) regional office had resolved the issue of low gas pressure last year, but now after recent rainfalls the gas pressure had dropped again. SNGPL officials said the gas pressure fell due to sharp increase in the demand of gas by consumers whereas the authority was working to overcome the issue.
