Radd-ul-Fasaad: Four held in DG Khan for Punjab, K-P attacks
ISPR says the suspects are involved in killings of police officials in Punjab and K-P
Punjab Rangers claimed to have arrested four suspected terrorists belonging to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in an intelligence based operation in Dera Ghazi Khan, the army’s media wing said on Friday.
The alleged terrorists were involved in attacks and killing of police officials in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) and Punjab, said a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Automatic weapons including grenades were also recovered from the terrorists during the raid, which was conducted with the support of intelligence agencies, it added.
The raid was conducted as part of the continuing military offensive, Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, launched in February this year against “latent threat of terrorism” in the country.
