There are rumours that Samsung is poised to upend how it releases new phones, by launching three versions of the Galaxy S9- with an addition of the 5-inch Samsung Galaxy S9 mini.

The phone would include the same all-screen design as the expected Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, including a curved infinity display.

If true, it would mark a revival of Samsung's 'mini' range of phones after a gap of several years.

Twitter user 'Ice Universe' who is known to spread mobile device specifications before their launch, revealed the information.

He also added other details about the new S9 range such as the 3D sensor which he claims will be used for the front camera.

Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy S9 and S9+ devices during the Mobile World Congress being held in February next year, according to Forbes.

The South Korean giant has previously been rumoured to release mini devices as part of it's S7 and S8 mobile ranges but those never materialised. It remains to be seen if the S9 will break the trend.
