Zulqarnain Haider to disclose people threatening him

Former wicket keeper says he will disclose the people who are threatening him on his return to Pakistan.

Former Pakistani wicket keeper Zulqarnain Haider said on Sunday that he will disclose the people who are threatening him after he returns to Pakistan.

Haider, talking to Express News, said that the investigations are underway to locate the people involved in giving him threats. Haider is returning to Pakistan today (Sunday).

Haider had deserted the team in Dubai during the Pakistan-South Africa one-day series, fleeing to London after claiming to have received threatening messages from an unknown source.

He had reportedly received another threatening call on April 20, following which Scotland Yard had enhanced his security.

He also thanked Interior Minister Rehman Malik for his cooperation, whom he had contacted for security after receiving the threats.

Haider also said that he wants to put his past aside and play domestic cricket in the country. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said earlier that Haider would have to face PCB inquiry committees before he can be cleared for selection at any level in Pakistan.
