Two days ago, Asghar, a teacher at the Govt High School Gogran, subjected 15-year-old Nabeel, a class X student, to severe punishment for not wearing his uniform to school, Express News reported.
Following media reports of the incident, Lodhran Deputy Commissioner Raja Khurram suspended the teacher and police booked and arrested the teacher.

However, the teacher told reporters that he had not hit the student. "Nabeel broke his leg while playing with other boys in the school ground," he added.
In August this year, a four-year-old child suffered temporary hearing loss after his teacher beat him black and blue in the Shujabad sub-district of Multan.
Asim, the father of the child, told The Express Tribune that his son studied at a school supported by the Pakistan Education Foundation. The teacher beat his son for making noise in the classroom in his absence.
Police arrest seminary teacher accused of beating student
Last year, police arrested a seminary teacher for beating a 10-year-old boy at Madrassah Usmania in Ali Akbar Goth of District Malir, Karachi.
The teacher, Muhammad Niaz, said he had beaten up 10-year-old seminary student Ahmed Raza because he lost temper when the student told him that he could not attend the seminary classes the day before because he was fasting.
