Australia to provide vocational training  

The training will enable participants to develop effective governance structures and leadership models

ISLAMABAD:
A team from an Australian University will provide training to 17 Pakistani technical and vocational professionals on integrative policy and management skills and knowledge they obtained from a recent three-week course in Australia. According to a statement issued here, a team from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) would provide training to develop the country’s technical and vocational education and training (TVET) sector.

The training, undertaken through the Australia Awards Scholarship Programme, will enable the participants to develop effective governance structures and leadership models and practices to strengthen Pakistan’s TVET sector. The Government of Australia (TAFE Directors Australia) and the Government of Pakistan (NAVTTC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on TVET cooperation in July.
