
The militants were arrested when the paramilitary troops conducted a raid on a tip-off in the Mominabad area of Orangi Town neighbourhood. The suspects were later identified as Shahzad alias Kala, Haider Ali, Irfan alias Mamu and Zahid alias Waseem Anda.
According to the Rangers spokesperson, the suspected militants were affiliated with Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and were involved in several cases of terrorism, including attacks on polio teams.
Separately, a political party's worker was arrested during a raid conducted on a tip-off in the Landhi area. The suspect was identified as Shahid alias Gada. The Rangers spokesperson said that the suspect was affiliated with the Muhajir Qaumi Movement - Haqiqi and was involved in various cases of crime, including murder.
The Rangers also claimed to have recovered arms and ammunitions from their possession, while further investigation is under way.
