Tom Hanks helps with surprise marriage proposal
Yes, you will get emotional...
Tom Hanks, the Oscar-winner recently made an appearance at the Texas Book Festival to promote his new book, Uncommon Type: Some Stories. He has by far maintained his reputation for being helpful to people and this time he almost played Cupid - helping a man propose to his girlfriend, reported Yahoo!
While answering the audience’s questions at the book festival, the Bridge of Spies actor said that he had a question of his own. He then went on to say that Ryan McFarling had a question for Nikki Young and the question was, “Nikki, will you marry me?” The groom-to-be, McFarling then got down on one knee and Young accepted the proposal.
The 61-year-old actor is known for his kindness to strangers. Earlier this year, he gifted a new espresso machine to the White House press corps.
In 2015, he also found and returned a Fordham University student’s lost ID card.
He also helped a Girl Scout troop sell their cookies in San Francisco and also left a $20 tip.
