Nawaz convenes high-level meeting with PML-N top leadership
This will be first time Sharif brothers will come face-to-face since London huddle
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, on Monday, called for an all-important Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders conference at Punjab house.
Political figures including Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Raja Zafarul Haq, amongst others are to attend this top-level huddle.
Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif are to meet personally prior to this meeting making this the first time since the London huddle with PM Abbasi that the Sharif brothers will come face-to-face with each other. The duo will discuss the current political scenario and the aftermath of the Panama Papers case.

The aim of the meeting is to discuss the future of PML-N, and to devise strategies on how to deal with opponents while determining multiple factors. This will include discussion about the former premier’s appearance at the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the pending cases.
The meeting will also discuss constitutional amendments regarding the constituencies, and the vital topic of the 2018 elections.
