Radd-ul-Fasaad: TTP facilitator held, arms seized in Balochistan and K-P raids
Security forces carried out IBOs in K-P's Mandi Khel, North Wazirstan Agency and recovered a large amount of weapons
Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) on a terrorist hideout in Zhob district, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday.
The paramilitary forces arrested a Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) facilitator during the raid.
In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), security forces conducted IBOs in Mandi Khel near Dosaali, North Wazirstan Agency and recovered a large amount of weapons and ammonium including guns, mortars, rocket launchers, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), communication equipment and extremist literature.
On Wednesday, Pakistan Rangers Punjab, in coordination with police and intelligence agencies arrested 16 suspects and found a huge cache of explosives, IEDs, weapons and ammunition which was dumped to carry out a terrorist activity in Quetta.
Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad was launched earlier this year with Punjab in focus as many observers believed the province had long been ignored when it comes to fighting militant groups due to political expediency and other reasons.
