Two women among three held with drugs
Noon police recovered 2 kilogrammes hashish from a woman named Shafaat bibi
ISLAMABAD:
Police have arrested three suspected drug pushers, including two women, and recovered over four kilogrammes of hashish from them in two separate incidents.
Officials said that a couple, identified as Munsif Khan and Sumera, were taken into custody by the Special Investigation Unit near the EME College on Peshawar Road after 2.1 kilogrammes of hashish was recovered from them. Their motorbike, bearing registration number CHC-485, was also confiscated.
‘More than 8 million people addicted to drugs in Pakistan’
Separately, the Noon police recovered two kilogrammes hashish from a woman named Shafaat bibi during checking at Motorway Chowk. Separate cases have been registered against the suspects and further investigations are underway.
Meanwhile, the police and Rangers personnel carried out a search operation within the remits of Lohi Bher police station on Thursday.
