Judgment announced: Two murder convicts get life term

Prosecution told court that accused Imran, Ejaz had gunned down rickshaw driver

SARGODHA: A court awarded life term to two men for their involvement in a murder case in Sargodha.

The judgment was announced by Additional District and Sessions Judge Tariq Mehmood Jasra. The prosecution told the court that accused Imran and Ejaz had gunned down a rickshaw driver Muhammad Nadeem and his son Shahzeb over a robbery bid on January 25, 2014.

The local police registered a case against the accused and presented the challan before the court. After hearing the arguments, the judge handed down life sentences to Imran and Ejaz. The court also imposed a fine of Rs0.5 million as compensation money.

Earlier, a court awarded life term to two convicts in a murder case in Sargodha. The judgment was announced by Additional Sessions Judge Javed Iqbal Ranjha.

Convicts Muhammad Irfan, Nazar Muhammad and Muhammad Imran had killed a man Muhammad Aslam over a dispute in 2013.
