Fake Arms Licences: Six Pakistan Post workers arrested

Rs0.5 million in cash and 12 arms licenses recovered.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Punjab chapter during a raid at Rana Printing Press in Sialkot on Thursday arrested six employees of Post office (Pakistan Post) and recovered fake stamps, Rs0.5 million in cash and 12 arms licenses from them.



A member of the raiding team told The Express Tribune that during interrogation, the men disclosed that they had used the fake stamps for renewal the arms licences. They said they had so far renewed licences worth Rs8 million in this manner. The official said the activity was causing a huge loss to the national exchequer every year.
