Rescue instructors were trained on Immediate Care Trauma Course at the Emergency Services Academy.
The training was organised by the Punjab Emergency Service in collaboration with Institute of Learning Emergency Medicine, University of Health Sciences and University of Dublin, Ireland. The Emergency Services Academy and University of Health Sciences (UHS), in close coordination with the University of Dublin, are working on the capacity-building in fieldwork related to pre-hospital emergency care, training and education in Pakistan.
Rs60m approved for hospital block
Professor Gerard Bury from University College of Dublin, Ireland, was the resource person for this training. The training content included initial assessment of patient, skills of airway management, basic life support, management of traffic crash victim, skills of helmet removal and extrication of a trapped person.
The course was attended by the teaching faculty of University of Health Sciences (UHS) and instructors of Emergency Services Academy.
