After announcing the live location feature last week, WhatsApp is testing another useful feature.

Most users drifted away from the likes of Skype, imo ever since WhatsApp introduced video calling, however, the ability to have group video conversations still existed in the more premium versions of Skype.

WhatsApp now lets you share your location live

WhatsApp is now looking to tap into the group video-calling market after various users reported that the feature was available to some beta users.

There was no exact date as to when the feature would roll out but WhatsApp beta's Twitter account confirmed that the feature is being tested.

Just a few months ago, The Facebook-owned app introduced the colourful status feature, (much like Instagram and Snapchat stories).

WhatsApp rolls out major update for iPhone users

This feature will certainly be a big hit when it rolls out as WhatsApp group conversations are an integral part of the app. The beta site confirms that group voice calls will be rolled first.

Although this is an interesting development, the company won't roll out the feature until they test it extensively and that would certainly take up some time.

Facebook Messenger already allows group calls already, but the same functionality could prove much more popular on WhatsApp, as the quality of calls made through it tends to be much better.
