Operation against quacks launched

Meeting of officials from health and other departments was held which was chaired by deputy commissioner

BAHAWALPUR: The health department has launched an operation against quacks and medical practitioners across the district who could not meet the criteria of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and supervisory organisations of medical, herbal and homeopathic sectors.

A meeting of officials from health and other departments was held which was chaired by deputy commissioner on Monday. The meeting was attended by health officers from all tehsils of the district, including Yazman, Hasilpur, Khairpur Tamewali, Ahmedpur Sharqia, Bahawalpur Sadar and Bahawalpur City.

PHC shuts down 28 illegal clinics of quacks

The meeting decided to launch crackdown against quacks and medical practitioners who were violating rules of the PMDC, Council of Homeopathy Pakistan and other relevant organizations while running their medical practice.
