Apple stops selling 256GB iPhone 7 to increase demand for iPhone 8
They need to increase the iPhone 8 demand until the iPhone X is readily available

With the iPhone X to start shipping in less than 10 days, the smartphone market is buzzing with news concerning Apple's iPhone models.
The iPhone 8 has not generated the same demand its predecessor managed to and it comes as no surprise that Apple took some steps to increase its demand especially until the iPhone X is readily available.
Low iPhone 8 demand causes Apple shares to fall
Earlier in September, when Apple announced the release of iPhone 8 and X in fall of 2017 they also announced that the company will stop selling the 256GB version of the iPhone 7.
This leaves us with no other option but to buy a 32GB, 128GB iPhone 7 or the 256GB iPhone 8.

Mashable spoke with an Apple customer service representative, who confirmed that the company no longer directly offer a 256GB iPhone 7.
Even with such changes, the iPhone 8 hasn't quite held the fort together but luckily for Apple, it doesn't have to after Nov 3rd when the iPhone X starts shipping.
