Accident kills one, injures 40

A man named Mukhtar died and 40 others were injured when a coaster, a passenger van and two motorcycles collided near the Centre Park on Ferozpur Road in the limits of Kahna police on Friday.
Police said a vehicle was on its way from Lahore to Kasur and the other was going in the opposite direction. When they reached near Centre Park, the axel shaft of the vehicle broke and the driver lost control.
When a car accident happened just in time
The vehicle collided with another and two motorcycles, leaving one person dead and 40 others injured. After the incident, police and rescue teams reached the spot and collected forensic evidence from the scene. Chief Traffic Police Officer Rai Ijaz Ahmad said the accident occurred due to speeding. “We sent over 10 road safety officers to the spot and hospitals to inquire about the health of the injured and determine the cause behind the accident.”
Model Town SP Hasnain Haider said that they were looking into the matter. The injured are being treated at the Lahore General Hospital.
