Power hungry politicians seeking clash among institutions: Ayaz Sadiq
NA speaker says those dreaming about coming into power through backdoor desire 3-year-long set-up

National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq has said that those dreaming about coming into power through backdoor deals desire clash among state institutions "but will fail in their attempts".
Speaking to media representatives in Lahore on Thursday, Sadiq said elements desperate for power were longing for a three-year technocratic set-up, according to Express News. However, he added, the country's law and Constitution does not allow establishment of any such government.
“Gone are those days... we don’t have that kind of judiciary, lawyers and parties anymore that seek such endeavors,” the NA speaker said.
Nawaz, daughter, son-in-law indicted by accountability court
In an apparent attempt to tone down a few recent statements from his fellow Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) politicians, he said no one hurled abuses at the judiciary or military, adding that respecting state institutions was a collective responsibility of everyone including the ruling party.
Sadiq advised state institutions to refrain from clashing with each other, and remain in their domain.
About PM Nawaz Sharif, the speaker said the PML-N chief will return to the country as soon as his ailing wife, Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, who is undergoing cancer therapy in London, started feeling better.
