The construction of a flyover will help reduce traffic jams, said Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad while addressing a ceremony.
He said that the flyover, which was being constructed at Site, will be named after Afza Altaf, daughter of MQM chief Altaf Hussain.
Rupees 540 million will be spent on the flyover, which is expected to be completed in four months. It will be 2,000 feet in length and 48 feet in width. Provincial Minister Rauf Siddiqui assured that the flow of traffic will not be hindered by the development work. Ebad announced one month’s bonus for the workers.
