One killed, 15 injured in separate land disputes

Fifteen people were injured in a clash between Golo and Sarki clansmen over a land dispute in Daman Ali Shah village.

Fifteen people were injured in a clash between Golo and Sarki clansmen over a land dispute in Daman Ali Shah village on Tuesday night. Some of the Sarki clansmen began construction on the disputed land when it was left unattended. The Golo men found out and arrived at the site armed with wooden sticks and hatchets. They broke into a fight, leaving Kamal Din, Atta Mohammad, Bhai Khan, Ghulam Nabi, Anwar Ali, Muhabat and Hazar Khatoon from the Sarki clan and Muneer Ahmed, Zafar, Ali Gul, Ali Bux, Mir Mohammad, Hussain Bux, Waziran and Naseema from the Golo clan injured.


Separately, a man named Hazoor Bux Khajro was killed in an armed clash between Tunio and Khajro clansmen over land in Peerano Khajro village, Kandhra. The ongoing dispute over three acres began over a year ago. On Tuesday night, a group of armed men, believed to be Tunio clansmen, raided Peerano Khajro village and opened fire. The Khajro clansmen returned fire and Hazoor Bux was killed. Police said he is the second person to die as a result of the dispute.
