On Wednesday, the main accused Naveed Iqbal and his alleged accomplices Muhammad Amin and Atif Abbas were produced before Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Ameer Muhammad Khan in court in handcuffs and pleaded not guilty.
After a 35-minute hearing, the judge sent them back to jail and ordered that they be brought back on May 16.
He also issued notice to the prosecution witnesses for the same date. Earlier, the court had ordered that the case record be delivered to the accused.
Naveed Iqbal, the stepbrother of Justice Javed, is accused of murdering his stepmother and father at their home in Calvary Ground, Lahore.
Police say that all three accused confessed to involvement in the killings, but pin the blame on each other.
Police say there is circumstantial evidence showing that all three were involved.
