Ambassador urges diversifying away from textiles
ISLAMABAD:
A Spanish business delegation will visit Pakistan and hold business-to-business meetings for promoting bilateral trade and commerce between the two countries, Economic and Commercial Attaché of Spain Miguel Pena Sánchez said while exchanging views with the local business community at Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday.
He said that both the countries should focus on developing long-term plans to explore potential areas of mutual cooperation for further improving bilateral trade, adding that Pakistan’s economy is improving despite imbalances like current account deficit.
Spanish companies keen to work in resourceful Pakistan
The ambassador also urged diversifying away from textiles to increase exports to Spain and other European Union countries.
Sanchez also highlighted the need of creating proper channels for enhancing connectivity between private sectors of both countries.
