Uplift of South Punjab a top priority: CM
Government spending more money on health, education, infrastructure and better transport facilities

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that development of South Punjab is a top priority of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government.
Rs 213 billion set aside for South Punjab development
He expressed these views during a meeting with Multan Press Club executive body members and journalists on Monday.
On the occasion, the chief minister said the PML-N government spent billions of rupees on development projects in the region, while the government was spending more money on health, education, infrastructure and better facilities of transportation for the people of South Punjab. Shehbaz said that he would put in all efforts to bring South Punjab at par with Upper Punjab region in development.

He maintained that Saafi Pani project was also being launched in South Punjab. The chief minister announced two grants of Rs53 million and Rs96 million for development of a colony for journalists in Multan.
