Maanyata Dutt isn't convinced about her role in the much-anticipated Sanjay Dutt biopic, reported Bollywood Life.

The role is being portrayed by Dia Mirza opposite Ranbir Kapoor who will be essaying the role of her husband. Reports claim that Maanyata has been frantically calling Ranbir to find out any details regarding her role in the movie.

I have many shoes which my wife hits me with: Sanjay Dutt

According to sources, the director, Raj Kumar Hirani has not given Mrs Dutt any idea about the capacity of her role - or how much screen time being given to her.

The celebrity wife is also worried about how she will be portrayed in the movie. Maanyata is Sanjay's third wife. The couple are parents to twins, a boy and a girl.

What's interesting is that despite such reports, Dia is confident portraying Maanyata's role claiming that the director has done a beautiful job shaping it. The actor hails Maanayata as the "anchor" in Sanjay's life.

“I believe Maanyata is someone who has a strong sense of self. Ranbir has transformed himself into Sanjay totally but I don’t think others need to do the same. I have interacted with her over the years and I think she is the anchor in Sanjay’s life. But I have perceived Maanyata through the wonderful writing (by Abhijat and Raju) that’s been written about her,” shared Dia when she was asked about playing Maanyata in the biopic.
