Shehbaz pays surprise visit to Erdogan Hospital

Says all the patients will get better healthcare than any other hospital

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday paid a surprise visit to the extension project of Government Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital, Muzaffargarh.

He went to the hospital after the inauguration of Speedo bus service in Multan. The CM inspected the construction work and inspected different wards and other sections of the hospital. The hospital staff and labourers were surprised to see the chief minister moving around. Shehbaz also inquired after the health of patients in different wards of the hospital.

Expansion of Erdogan hospital in Muzaffargarh begins

The CM praised the general conditions of cleanliness as well as presence of doctors and said he had been happy to visit the hospital where patients were given the best healthcare facilities.

However, Shehbaz reprimanded the hospital’s medical superintendent for not wearing a doctor’s gown. He asked patients and their attendants about the healthcare facilities who expressed their satisfaction about the quality of treatment and provision of free of medicines.


The chief minister said the Punjab government would add 250 beds to enhance the capacity of the hospital to facilities more patients in southern Punjab. He said the speed of construction work be expedited further as extension of this hospital would provide more facilities to the people.

Shehbaz opens state-of-the-art clinic for hepatitis

While talking to the media persons, the CM said the hospital was providing latest facilities to the people of southern Punjab, adding that no hospital was being privatised.

“Every patient is treated free in the hospital and it is much better than other the public sector hospitals,” he said. To a question, the chief minister said Multan Kidney Centre would also start working soon.
