Pakistani woman nominated for Stevie Awards

Syeda Amna Nasir Jamal has been named as a finalist in six categories

One of Pakistan’s rising entrepreneurs has been named as a finalist for the 2017 Stevie Awards for Women in Business winners.

Out of the over 1,500 entries submitted this year by organisations and individuals around the world for consideration; Syeda Amna Nasir Jamal, chairperson Tavuu Welfare Association, was nominated in six categories.

There are more than 90 categories of the awards including Executive of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Startup of the Year, Women Helping Women and Women-Run Workplace of the Year.


Jamal has been nominated in six categories including Female Innovator of the Year, Female Executive of the Year, Most Innovative Woman of the Year, Woman of the Year, Organisation of the Year and Startup of the Year.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are produced by the creators of the prestigious American Business Awards and International Business Awards. The Stevies are widely considered to be the world’s premier business awards.

This year’s gold, silver, and bronze Stevie Award winners will be announced at an awards dinner at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City on Friday, November 17. More than 500 women and their guests from around the world are expected to attend the presentations
