Shah Jewana’s Urs: 3-week-long events begin on Tuesday

The urs of Hazrat Shah Jewna started on Tuesday with rasm-e-chaki chung in Shah Jewana, Jhang.

The urs of Hazrat Shah Jewna started on Tuesday with rasm-e-chaki chung in Shah Jewana, Jhang. The ritual was performed by Hazrat Shah Jewna Makhdoom’s successor, Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat. Besides a large number of devotees, the ceremony was attended by caretakers of several other shrines in the province. Hayat will perform rasm-e-kharri on May 4. He would spend a week in the shrine and would come out of the shrine on the concluding day of the celebrations – May 10 – to rasm-e-charagh.
