RIUKT likely to be ready by 2018
The Punjab government has so far spent Rs450 million on the project that has a price tag of over Rs1.27 billion

Work on Rawalpindi Institute of Urology and Kidney Transplant (RIUKT) will be completed by April 2018, said Punjab Sports Board Chairman Hanif Abbasi on Wednesday. The provincial government has so far spent Rs450 million on the project that has a price tag of over Rs1.27 billion, he said. The 265-bed RIUKT was part of PML-N efforts to provide maximum medical facilities to the masses, Abbasi said. RIKUT project was inaugurated in 2012 by CM Shehbaz Sharif. Abbasi reminded that patients were getting free medicines in allied hospitals. Moreover, he said, dialysis facility at BBH was better as compared with many private hospitals. The chairman of Punjab Sports Board said an international standard Austro Turf would be laid at Government Viqarunnisa Noon School and College soon.
