Over 300 graduates receive degrees at NUST
Faculty, students felicitated for varsity achieving slot among top 500 universities
The combined convocation of School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (SMME) and School of Chemical and Materials Engineering (SCME) was held at the main campus of National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) on Wednesday. NESCOM Chairman Dr Nabeel Hayat Malik was the chief guest at the occasion. Faculty, students and parents of the graduates were present at the ceremony.
President’s Gold and Chancellors Silver Medals were awarded to student who secured the first and second best place in academics from both the schools, respectively. Rectors Gold medal were awarded to best final year project winners from SMME and SCME. Best teacher and researcher awards were also conferred on four faculty members of both the schools.
Dr Hayat felicitated the graduates and their proud parents. He admired NUST for attaining a coveted place among the world’s top-notch universities in a very short span of time.
Lt Gen (retd) Naweed Zaman congratulated the graduates and their parents. He also made special mention of the determined efforts of the faculty and staff in bringing NUST among the top 500 universities of the world.
