Dengue virus claims another life in K-P as toll rises to 42

The viral dengue fever claimed another victim in the provincial capital on Tuesday with the toll from the ongoing outbreak across K-Pclimbing to 42.
The latest victim was a 51-year-old resident of Peshawar. The Dengue Response Unit (DRU), set up by the provincial government to monitor and overcome the crisis, said that the virus has so far claimed 42 lives across the province.
Dengue cases started surfacing in the provincial capital and within the province owing to movement of people. DRU officials, however, have been stressing upon the need to target mosquito breeding sites to control the spread of the virus.
