Celebrating achievement: Props to outstanding pupils and mentors
Roots School System holds Student/Teacher Recognition Day and High Achievers Ceremony.
ISLAMABAD:
As college decisions make headway and acceptance letters start pouring in, the combined excitement and tension engulfs every high school student around the globe.
With A-Level examinations fast approaching and students with conditional offers striving harder and harder to meet their conditions, those admitted in foreign universities take a slight backseat and enjoy the hard work that went into their SAT and TOEFL preparations.
Amidst this exciting time, Roots School System (RSS) provides a platform to its students that enables recognition of their achievements during their final year at school and bids them good luck for the remaining part of their time there and beyond.
RSS held its annual Student’s and Teacher’s Recognition Day and High Achievers Ceremony at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts auditorium on Tuesday.
Rauf Engin Soysal, the head of the UN Mission in Pakistan, graced the occasion as chief guest of the ceremony, which was attended by more than 450 guests, including students and their parents. The guests of honour at the ceremony were Gohar Ayub, Hassan Raza Syed and Adnan Aurangzeb.
Mushtaq Rasul Chaudhry, managing director RSS, in his welcome address, talked about the maturity of the educational programme at RSS and how it has progressed over time.
“We recognise and endorse outstanding ideas and ensure that our students get the best learning experience possible,” Chaudhry claimed.
Students also shared their experiences at the school and how their journey led them to their interim destination of college admissions.
The afternoon proceeded with the distribution of awards by the Chief Guest with shields and certificates presented on the basis of academic excellence.
Shehroz Hussain and Khadeesh Bin Imtiaz, students of A-Levels, got admission offers at Oxford University UK in Electrical Engineering.
