ISLAMABAD:
As many as 36 officials of Islamabad Police were promoted after the departmental promotion committee and the inspector general’s approval on Thursday. The officers promoted to next grade included eight inspectors, 15 sub-inspectors, and 13 assistant sub-Inspectors. Islamabad’s Inspector General Police (IGP) Khalid Khattak and other officers pinned the badges to these police officials at a ceremony at police lines headquarters.The sub-inspector promoted to the rank of inspector included Niaz Hussain, Anis Albar, Chaudhry Zulfiqar, Shaukat Ali, Abdul Jabbar Khan,Qazi Rabnawaz, Amjid Farooq, and Azhar Mehmood. Speaking on the occasion, Khattak congratulated all the promoted staff and told them to work harder. “With promotion, your responsibilities have also increased and you will have to put in efforts with more dedication,” he said.
