One labourer killed, five others feared dead in Sargodha landslide

Six labourers breaking rocks during an excavation project on a hill in a rural area of Sargodha were trapped under rubble following a landslide on Monday, one of them succumbing to his injuries and the fate of the rest still unknown.
The body of one labourer, Falak Sher, was pulled out while rescue operation is underway to save the others, Express News reported.
However, rescue workers believe that the chances of the five men surviving are slim.

They have been identified as Abid, Bashir, Shahid, Kamran and Aijaz.
The incident took place in block 13 near Awanabad area of Sargodha’s rural village Chak 126.
Rescue 112 teams immediately reached the site and began the operation. The body of the dead labourer was taken to THQ hospital Sillanwali. Abid, Basir, Shahid, Kamran and Ejaz belong to Chiniot’s district Laliyan while Falak Bashir lived in Sargodha’s village 107 South.
