Zayn Malik thinks Taylor Swift’s new music is ‘sick’

Zayn Malik has nothing but nice things to say about the Look What You Made Me Do singer Taylor Swift.

Before hosting Us Weekly’s 'Most Stylish New Yorkers' party at The Jane Hotel on September 12, the Pillowtalk star stated, “I have heard her new song, yeah it’s really cool!”

He further told US Weekly, “I liked the video, I thought the video was really sick.”

Zayn and Taylor joined hands for the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack I Don’t Wanna Live Forever. He has previously opened up to FADER about his admiration for the Grammy winner, "I did a song with her, it was fun, she was professional. She gets on with my girlfriend (Gigi Hadid), they’re good friends. I don’t have a bad word to say about her. She’s cool."




He continued, "I rate her as an artist, I think she’s cool, I think she’s successful, and I think she deserves her success because she’s worked hard. That’s just how I look at it."

Fans have been obsessed with Taylor's new music video and seem to have more than enough ideas regarding the 'hidden' meanings behind each scene. However, the former One Direction singer didn't look into it too much, “I don’t like to overthink things, I just take it for how it is."

He added, "I think creatively, it’s an amazing video. I think there’s a lot of cool ideas gone into it, a lot of hard work, obviously. And I respect that. I think it’s a cool idea, I’ve just seen it as that, that’s all I want to see it as I don’t really want to dwell on it.”

When speaking about Gigi's thoughts, Zayn shared, " She loves it. She is definitely a big fan of Taylor. She played me the song actually."

The supermodel kind of makes a cameo in Taylor's video as her name appears on one of the t-shirts the singer wears, alongside Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham and more.

Taylor has also been very complimentary of Zayn and his music in the past. The Dusk Till Dawn star told Dazed, "I don’t get much feedback from my peers but I spoke to Taylor briefly at Gigi's house. She told me she really enjoyed the album."

"She said she thought I was cool, and I kind of blushed a bit. I didn’t know how to take it,” he continued.
