Man tortured to death in Jhang

JHANG: A man was allegedly tortured to death by a fake faith healer during an 'exorcism' in Jhang.

According to media reports, family members of Mazhar Bhatti, 30, a resident of Kot Sahai Singh, took him to the house of Ibrar in the area of Bulaq Shah for spiritual healing. Faith healer Khalifa Ameen was present at Ibrar’s house, who had come from Faisalabad.



Ameen along with Ibrar and Ali subjected Mazhar to severe torture during the process of exorcism. As a result, he suffered serious injuries and was rushed to DHQ hospital for treatment but he succumbed to injuries.
