Man commits suicide 

He consumed poisonous pills after an argument with his family

FAISALABAD: A man committed suicide over domestic issues in the limits of Tandlianwala police on Sunday.

Police said that 35-year-old Ahmad, a resident of Pindi Sheikh Musa, committed suicide by consuming poisonous pills after an argument with his family. Meanwhile, two persons were killed in different road accidents in the city. Police said that a speedy car hit a rickshaw near Chak No 138-GB.

As a result, Khalid Jameel, 40, died on the spot, while his daughter Abida suffered injuries. In another incident, 18-year-old Tanveer Shafeeq was killed when he was hit by a speeding bus on Sargodha Road.

Meanwhile, City Police Officer Athar Amjad Ismaeel suspended the SHO of Lundianwala police station on charges of negligence. A police official said SHO Younus Gujjar was involved in delinquency, negligence and abuse of powers.
