Five tourists die in Balakot as their car falls into Kunhar River

Five tourists died when their car fell into Kunhar River at the Kappi Gali area of Balakot, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday.

The five men, residents of Azad Kashmir, were travelling to Naran, Express News reported.

The driver lost control of the car and it fell into the river.

Rescue workers and police rushed to the scene to save the tourists but they had died by the time they reached there.

Earlier in the day, a passenger bus from Karachi collided with a tractor-trolley in Quetta, leaving four dead and eight seriously injured.

The injured were shifted to a trauma centre, while the bodies of the victims which included a one-year-old infant were also handed over to their families.
