A man killed his estranged wife and her father in Dhok Chiragh Din area of Rawalpindi on Saturday after she refused to patch up with him.

Express News reported that the man entered the house of his in-laws and opened fire on his 28-year-old wife Rubab and her father, Aslam.

According to police, the accused and his accomplices fled the scene soon after. They added hat the man was enraged after failing to convince his wife to return home.

The police have collected evidence from the scene and shifted the bodies to a hospital.

Earlier this month, a woman was stabbed to death by her husband in Islamabad's Farash Town area. Police said Sameeullah, the suspect, murdered his wife Bushra Bibi at their home. Officials said the woman was stabbed in the neck with a knife. Police declared that some kind of ‘domestic dispute’ was the motive behind the killing. The suspect was later arrested by the police.
