Police said Liaqat Ali, a resident of Chak No 140-SB, had an argument with his nephew Ghulam Muhammad over some family matters two days back. On the day of the incident, accused Liaqat allegedly shot dead his nephew Ghulam Muhammad and fled the scene.

In another incident, a youth committed suicide over domestic issues in the limits of Jaranwala police precincts. Police said Arsalan, a class 10 student, set himself ablaze by sprinkling petrol on his body. As a result, he received severe burn injuries and was shifted to the hospital but he could not survive.
Meanwhile, two labourers were killed in Sillanwali police limits. Police said four labourers were busy in stone cutting in Chak No 116-SB, when they were buried under a landslide. As a result, Muhammad Hussein and Shah Zarjan died on the spot.
