Property Ownership: ‘Federal govt has no land in Balochistan’

Federal government and its institutions do not own land in any province and therefore have no right to sell property.

QUETTA:

The federal government and its institutions do not own land in any province and therefore have no right to sell property, said Balochistan Chief Secretary Ahmed Bakhsh Lehri at the inauguration of a school here on Saturday.

“Although Balochistan needs land and the ownership of the property lies with the province, the Pakistan Railways is selling it,” he said at Patwar School.

Lehri added that measures will be taken to computerise official and non-official property records to help in getting details on the measurement of a piece of land.

Senior member Board of Revenue Sarwar Javed, Commissioner Quetta Division, Naseem Ahmed Lehri and Principal of the Patwar School also spoke at the occasion.
