It seems like the father-son duo of Aditya and Sooraj Pancholi haven’t had much luck with love. Aditya has made headlines because of his alleged ex Kangana Ranaut whilst Sooraj has been in the limelight due to his late ex Jiah Khan.

Jiah was found hanging in her own apartment on June 3, 2013. Her mother Rabia Amin found letters in her daughter’s room which were purportedly addressed to her boyfriend, Sooraj.

“I don't know how to say this to you but I might as well now as I have nothing to lose. I've already lost everything. If you're reading this I might have already left or about to leave. I am broken inside. You may not have known this but you affected me deeply to a point where I lost myself in loving you. Yet you tortured me every day,” wrote Jiah.

Sooraj has already faced trial in the case for abetment to suicide. He was supposedly in a live-in relationship with Jiah and was taken into police custody on June 10 during the investigation. The Bombay High Court granted him bail on July 2 2013.

“Your life was about partying and women. Mine was you and my work. If I stay here I will crave you and miss you. So I am kissing my 10-year career and dreams goodbye,” Jiah further wrote.

“I aborted our baby when it hurt me deeply. All I want now is to go to sleep and never wake up again. I am nothing,” she continued.

Jiah's mother has previously claimed that a forensic report by a private British agency questions the Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) and their theory about her daughter’s death, as latter reports said it wasn’t a suicide.

Rabia has now written an open letter addressed to India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking justice for Jiah’s alleged suicide. Rabia, who believes that Jiah was murdered, has called out the irregularities shown by the CBI in conducting the investigation.

“For some reason, CBI was reluctant to take over the case from the beginning, and in fifteen months of delay in their findings, the CBI’s investigation got compromised. It would be an insult to CBI’s capabilities to say that they failed to conduct a proper investigation.

There is no doubt CBI has all the powers and skills required to get to the bottom of my daughter’s death but somehow, their investigation went off track, for reasons best known to them. Instead, CBI’s own independent forensic expert opinion is inconclusive and does not rule out either homicide or suicide,” read her letter.

Rabia further shed light on the fact that a forensic investigation had proved that Jiah’s death was in fact, not suicide; rather a murder. “Forensic expert Jason Payne-James in his report clearly states that this appears to be a staged homicide. So I approached the Honourable High Court earlier this year with all the relevant grievances and expert reports requesting reinvestigation. CBI opposed, but the High Court noted in its order that all the points raised in my petition can be submitted to the trial court.”
