Barcelona coach says beating Real Madrid would be a "giant step" towards retaining Spanish league title.
BARCELONA:
Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola says beating Real Madrid would be “a giant step” towards retaining the Spanish league title this year.
The club holds a commanding eight-point lead over Real with seven games left and victory over their foes would virtually seal the league title. “If we obtain a good result we’ll take a giant step to reach the final and be champions again,” said Guardiola.
“We have to have a really good match to be able to beat them.” AFP
Pagett makes World Champoinship debut
Welshman Andrew Pagett, made his World Championship debut on Saturday and the 28-year-old gave a decent account of himself against England’s Jamie Cope. He led 4-2 but Cope came back at him to open up a 5-4 lead with the match set to resume today.
