Club's record signing suffered hamstring injury in the match against Getafe on Saturday

BARCELONA:
Barcelona's record €105 million signing Ousmane Dembele is set to be sidelined for up to four months, the club confirmed on Sunday.

The 19-year-old injured his hamstring in Barcelona’s 2-1 win over suffered at Getafe on Saturday.

Barcelona expect record turnover



"The tests performed on first team player Ousmane Dembele have determined he has ruptured the tendon of the hamstring in his left leg," Barcelona said in a statement on Sunday.

The statement further added that the French player “will undergo surgical treatment by Dr. Sakari Orava this coming week in Finland. The expected time out will be between three-and-a-half and four months."

Dembele joined Barcelona in place of Neymar, who joined Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) for world-record move €222 million.
