Bisaria is expected to take up his new position in Pakistan in October.

The high-level diplomatic reshuffle took place after India’s ambassador to China Vijay Gokhale was appointed economic relations secretary at the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.

Gokhale reportedly played the lead role in defusing the recent Doklam crisis between Beijing and New Dehli.
