Roots Academic Awards: 220 students given prizes
Success does not come overnight, we nurture it over the years, said branch head of Mirpur Campus.
MIRPUR:
Around 220 Rootsians studying from Montessori till A-Levels in the Mirpur region were awarded prizes for their excellent results for 2010-2011.
The ceremony was held at Regency Hotel Mirpur, said a press release issued by the school.
Roots’ Mirpur students secured 20 A*, 40 As and 41 Bs in the Cambridge International Examination (CIE). Six awards were also given to the winners of silver and bronze medals in the International Kangaroo Mathematics Contest 2010.
Imran Naeem, branch head of Mirpur Campus, welcomed the parents and congratulated the students, saying, “Success does not come overnight, we nurture it over the years from the age two-and-a-half years onwards with tender care.”
Members of the management also received leadership awards in the capacities of best coordinators and support staff. Academic excellence awards were given to 36 teachers.
Mirpur Commissioner Mehmoodul Hassan, the chief guest, said, “It gives me immense pride and joy to know that Roots’ students from Mirpur have shown brilliant performances in the CIE O-Levels Exams.”
