My wife had to lie to my kids: Sanjay Dutt
Actor has risen from the ashes and come out stronger
Bollywood’s 'Munna Bhai' Sanjay Dutt has experienced many highs and lows during his time in the film industry. However, the Khalnayak star has only risen from the ashes and come out stronger. He is all set to make a striking comeback in Bhoomi, which has already made many headlines post-trailer.
Sanjay has previously expressed his familial circumstances during his time in jail, reports Pinkvilla. "Children these days are so smart. My kids would ask Maanayata (wife) to call me and she would lie and say I'm away shooting in the mountains, where there is no network.” He continued, “Luckily the jail authorities allowed me one call every fortnight and I would make that call to them."

When questioned about whether his children now know the truth, he added, "They are aware but I'm waiting for them to grow up so that I can tell them my story in detail."
The Kaante actor went on to speak about the type of projects he would like to be a part of in the future, "I want to work in the kind of films they make in Hollywood. I don’t want to romance girls much younger than me. I want to do entertainment films that send a strong social message."
I pray my son is not like me: Sanjay Dutt
Sanjay, who is the son of celebrated film stars — the late Sunil and Nargis Dutt, also shared his thoughts on the on-going nepotism frenzy within the industry "After the first film, it all depends on how you work and how many hits you give. It doesn't matter whether you are a Dutt or a Bachchan.”
