Fabulous sister duo, Namrah and Fatima Zafar talk sisterhood

Fabulous sister duo, Namrah and Fatima Zafar talk sisterhood. From roaming the streets of Bangkok without telling their parents, to all their childhood antics; these sisters share it all

What’s your first memory of each other?

Namrah: Our first trip abroad to Thailand, we were six and three. We were such weird kids! We would want our parents to leave us in the hotel and we would go down to hang with the receptionists and bell boys.

Fatima: She fed me crayons once when I was really young and I will remember it forever.

What is the craziest thing you have done together?

Namrah: There was a mehndi in the middle of the street we lived in when I was around five. I made Fatima wear a lehnga, got dressed myself and went to the mehndi. Since I insisted on doing a solo, I made Fatima sit with an old aunty and managed to dance on Shararah Shararah. My mum was looking for both of us and was so worried.

Fatima: We did a lot of crazy things when we were kids. She was seven and I was four, we left our hotel room and roamed around nearby in Bangkok for a while. And we managed to go back to the hotel room. My parents still don’t know.

What did you get punished for the most as a child?

Namrah: Lying, not studying and eating rubbers and crayons (haha).

Fatima: Just trying to compete with Namrah.

If you could only wear one piece of clothing for the rest of your life, from the others closet, what would it be?

Fatima:  Her black playsuit.

Namrah: Her baby pink body suit with a cross over back!

If you could swap places with each other, what’s the first thing you would do?

Namrah: Learn to wake up early and set a routine!

Fatima:  I would sleep in.

What is the one thing you love about your sibling?

Namrah: She is sensitive and kind.

Fatima: She’s optimistic and enjoys life.

If you are fighting with each other, how do you make up?

Namrah: We just ignore it—we literally get over it and are normal.

Fatima: Yup, just ignore it!

Describe your sibling in three words:

Fatima: Cute, fun and dramatic.

Namrah: Easy going, witty and sensible.

Which fictional character is your sibling most like?

Namrah: Jerry from Tom and Jerry.

Fatima: Dee Dee from Dexter’s Laboratary.

How are your personalities similar?

Namrah: We’re outgoing, friendly, social and vocal.

Fatima: We’re very friendly and love to socialise.

I can’t live without my brother/sister because…

Namrah: Because she has been my back bone since 1996.

Fatima: She’s my rock.
