Former Pakistan captain and veteran all-rounder Shahid Afridi is expected to be given a lap of honour after the final match of the Independence Cup on Friday.

Afridi, who announced his international retirement during Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) second edition, had earlier said that he will not take part in Pakistan Cricket Board’s proposed farewell.
But according to Daily Express’ Saleem Khaliq, both parties have come to an agreement and the charismatic all-rounder will attend the match.
Afridi represented Pakistan in 98 T20Is, 398 ODIs and 27 Tests, where he claimed more than 500 wickets and scored more than 11,000 runs.
